Our WKA Military Appreciation Game was held on September 14, 2012. We had a pep rally in honor of all those who have fought or who currently fight for our country. As a salute to our military, the elementary chorus students sang the National Anthem, and the student body watched an inspiring video presentation with photos of our military personnel. We would like to especially recognize Coach David Mote, who has been a part of the King Academy family for 36 years. He served for the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1968-1970. We thank him for his sacrifice.

The following King alumni are currently serving our country: United States Army - Josh Temple, Griff Dorn, and Ethan Forrest; Army Airborne -Andrew Creech; United States Air Force - Jasen Cumbee; Army National Guard - Josh Griffith; United States Marines - Kyle Carpenter.
