Every Thursday morning at 7:30 a.m., parents gather in a classroom (room 12) for a special meeting. It’s not a meeting about fundraising or planning for activities. It’s a meeting for prayer. Parents’ Prayer Team is an opportunity for parents, grandparents, and concerned friends to join together to seek the face of Christ on behalf of our school, the board, the faculty and staff, the students, and their families. Our meetings are very informal and comfortable. We usually take a few minutes to consider any special prayer concerns and then we pray. Those who wish to pray aloud do so, those who wish to pray silently do so - no pressure, just prayer. We hope that you will consider joining us each week. Let’s believe together for the great things God has in store for the King family.

During the fall and the spring, the PPT provides two very special opportunities for the entire King family to get involved in prayer. On the afternoon of the Harvest Carnival the PPT sponsors a school-wide prayer walk. Faculty, staff, students, and parents are encouraged to walk their way throughout the school and pray. Simple prayer suggestions are often provided at the sign-up table, and then you are off to meet with the Lord wherever your feet may carry you. Our spring prayer walk is held in conjunction with Grandparents’ Day. The PPT is also involved in promoting regular Praise & Worship opportunities throughout the year for our students.

We invite you to be involved as we seek to enlarge the blanket of prayer and praise over King Academy. We want to encourage everyone (faculty, staff, students and parents) to use the prayer/praise box located at the office window so that we can share one another’s praises and bear one another’s burdens. It is our ultimate desire to provide even more opportunities for the King Academy family to join together to seek the Lord for our school. See you on Thursdays, beginning in September.
