WKA 2012 Girls Varsity Cross Country Team State Runner-Up
The Wyman King Academy Girls' Cross Country Team ended their 2012 season by finishing second in their meet Saturday, earning them the title of SCISA Cross Country State Runner-up for the Class A division. Leading the way for the Knights and also earning individual awards for their placings were Elizabeth Parrish finishing third overall with a time of 21:29, and Arrie Bodie finishing eighth overall with a time of 24:42. Other team members who also made great runs to achieve the overall winning score were Carson Buzhardt, Rebekah Perry, and Allison Price. The Knights did not have enough boys to make a full team this year. However, Ben Buzhardt ran for the Knights this season as an individual, and also competed in the Boys' Class A State Championship race with a most commendable showing.
